Service Projects
FFA Chapter Service Projects
Service projects are performed by the students in the FFA Chapter under the supervision of their Ag Advisors and parent volunteers.
Santa's Farm
The students turn the Ag Facility/Barn into Christmas and is open to the public, the first Friday night in December.
The service project was started by Kingwood High School in 1984 at our previous facility just north by the Methodist Church. In 2007 Kingwood Park joined the activity as the second high school assigned to the barn. Mr. McCarty our Ag Advisor had been a founding student of the activity when it was first started.
Troop FFA
Is held on the campus of Kingwood Park High School
Troop FFA is a one day merit badge camp, teaching merit badges related to the ideals of FFA. BSA approved merit badge counslors with the assistance of FFA students teach the courses to BSA standards. Kingwood Park FFA and Humble ISD team up to provide an excellent teaching enviroment bringing in animal labs, Texas Parks & Wildlife and the Houston Fire Department at past events. Troop FFA was started in the fall of 2011. (Currently Troop FFA is TBA)

Meet the Animals
The students turn the ag shop into a TV studio the 3rd week of each January.
The Kingwood Park High school Ag Shop is turned into a TV studio where FFA students in front of, and behind the camera put on an interactive show with subsciber schools around the nation. Meet the animals originally started with schools only in Humble ISD and has spread nation wide and in some years included schools from other nations.
Special Kids Day
Friday morning during the Humble Livestock Show.
SKD was started more than 25 years ago by Glen & Karla Redmon of Humble, the couple a 4-H Leader & Adaptive P.E. Teacher. The program began with just 28 students and a program that combines 4-H, FFA and their adult advisors - today over 1200 handicapped and special need students from around HISD are taken into a 3 hour inter-active experience at the Humble Show Barn.
